The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a standardized multiple-choice exam for students applying for nursing and allied health programs in the United States. The teas exam is developed by the Assessment Technology Institute. This is why it is sometimes called ATI TEAS exam.

The ATI TEAS is composed of 170 multiple choice questions in the areas of: Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage. The test runs for 209 minutes with no scheduled bathroom breaks. However, if, during this test, you do need to go to the bathroom, you simply have to raise your hand. You will be allowed to. But the time lost will not be compensated for.

Each individual is only allowed to register for the ATI test 3 times in one calendar year.
